Registration | From Innovation to Learning: Creating a CDRFI Evidence Roadmap

Questions marked with a * are required
Hello, you are invited to participate in our virtual workshop: From Innovation to Learning - Creating a CDRFI Evidence Roadmap. Thanks for taking a few minutes of your time to register for the event. We will be in touch with logistical details over the next few weeks.

The goal of this workshop is to jump-start the creation of a climate and disaster risk finance (CDRFI) evidence roadmap. Prior to drafting the roadmap, the community must first take stock of the disaster risk finance (DRF) evidence landscape, particularly with regards to the Pro-Poor Principles, to create a common understanding of a) current knowledge, b) work being done, and c) gaps that need to be addressed.

The roadmap launch will motivate participation in CDRFI evidence generation, generate demand for DRF evidence, and advocate for donor resource commitments. This workshop will provide the foundation for the evidence agenda of the InsuResilience Global Partnership and its impact working group.

The workshop will be held from the 8th - 11th of September on the Zoom platform. Anticipated times:
8 September 15:00-17:00 CEST (Germany time)
   9 September 15:00-18:00 CEST
   10 September 15:00-17:00 CEST
   11 September 15:00-17:00 CEST

We look forward to your participation! Asynchronous participation will be facilitated, so please register to receive information on how those who cannot participate live can still actively contribute.

How would you like to participate
On day 2 of the workshop, participants will dig into one of five DRF themes. These parallel breakouts will take stock of existing evidence related to that thematic area, identify the knowledge frontier, and share ongoing monitoring & evaluation and research related to that evidence theme. The five themes are: (1) agricultural & other household level microinsurance, (2) meso insurance & aggregation, (3) sovereign risk pools, (4) macro policy solutions (including public private partnerships, governmental (re)insurers, and adaptive social protection), and (5) non-insurance DRF. Please select a thematic area to explore with us in detail.
In order to provide opportunities for asynchronous participation, all of the sessions will be recorded and made available to those who were unable to participate in the live event.
